Christopher's Eats
About us
Casual Upscale American Restaurant & Bar
Christopher's Eats is a family-owned, made-from-scratch restaurant rooted in Americana cuisine, where quality, community, and consistency come first. From handcrafted cocktails and craft beer to thoughtfully prepared dishes, everything is made with care using as many locally sourced ingredients as possible. The team takes pride in supporting the community that supports them, creating a place where great food, good drinks, and a laid-back atmosphere come together for family and friends to enjoy.
One of the most distinctive features at Christopher's Eats is the coal-fired oven, built around the idea of taking a familiar favorite and making it something you can only get here, the flatbread. Each artisan flatbread is prepared with fresh ingredients, house-made sauces, and dressings, then baked in a 900° oven that delivers a crisp, flavorful finish. The oven is powered by anthracite coal, the oldest, hardest, and cleanest type of coal, known for producing consistent high heat with minimal smoke and particulate emissions.
Our place was built on the vision of brothers David & Jeremy Adams and their cousin, Chef Christopher Dixon, who set out to bring jobs to the Huntington/Barboursville area while creating a place for family and friends to enjoy quality food and great drinks. David, an 8th grade West Virginia History teacher with Cabell County Schools, and Jeremy, owner of Palace Properties, grew up and still reside in the area. Christopher, who spent time in Huntington and Jacksonville, Florida, graduated from culinary school in Orlando in 2004 and has worked in restaurants across Florida and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Since first discussing the idea in 2012, the three have turned their dream into reality through hard work, long hours, and dedication. Supporting this commitment to community and sustainability, we use anthracite coal, which is mostly free of smoke and particulate emissions. All anthracite used in the United States is mined domestically from already mined sites, and a portion of its sales helps restore those areas into functioning ecosystems.
